With a photo a photographer can capture the most important moments of your wedding day or special event.
But before you entrust just any photographer with the important task of capturing your event…make sure that the professional you decide to hire is reputable and well qualified.
This may be the first time you've needed to hire a professional photographer… so you might not be sure about what you should ask during an interview. 
To help you select the best professional we've provided a list of some of the questions you should ask the photographer during the interview process.

° Do you have my date available?
° How far in advance do I need to book with you?
° What is your cancellation/refund policy?
° When will I receive a written contract?
(Never book a photographer who does not provide a written contract.)
° How much of a deposit do you require and when is it due?
° Do you have liability insurance?
° Do you have references and may I contact them?

° Describe your primary style? Traditional, photojournalistic, creative, artistic, candid, posed?
° Do you shoot in a digital format or film, both?
° Do you shoot in mostly color, black and white, or both?°
° Do you offer pricing packages? What do they include?

° Are you the person who will be taking the photos of my wedding or special event?
° If you are not the person who will be the photographer at my event, can I meet with the photographer/assistant assigned to my wedding?
° How long you been been shooting weddings/special events?
° Do you have a portfolio? Are these all your photos?
° Is my wedding or event the only one you will be shooting that day?

Of course the questions listed above are what you need to ask the photographer but... you also need ask yourself a couple of questions before making a final decision on who you hire. After all this is the person you're entrusting with an important job.
° Ask Yourself:
° How do I feel about this person? Do I like them? Will I enjoy working with them? Do they listen to and care about what I have to say? If you can't answer yes to these questions..then seriously consider speaking with other photographers before making a final decision.
