If you're getting married or renewing your vows you'll want to find the right officiant to conduct the ceremony.
It is important to find someone who can perform the type of ceremony you envision.
Your ceremony may be secular or religious so you'll need to find an officiant who will perform the ceremony the way you envision it.
Every ceremony has a style of its own so It's important to meet with the officiant to determine if they are the best choice for your particular ceremony.

When deciding on an officiant for your ceremony:

• Consider speaking with more than one officiant. Meeting with more than one officiant gives you a better idea of the types of services offered by different officiant's and the fees they charge.
• Check out their references. You'll want to make sure the person is dependable.
• When meeting with an officiant see if they are willing to perform the kind of ceremony you want. You'll want someone who listens to you and understands the vision you have for the ceremony and is willing to give you what you want.
• When meeting with the officiant see if your their personality will mesh with the type of ceremony you want. For example If you are having a formal ceremony you'll most likely want someone who conducts themselves in a very professional manner. On the other hand if your ceremony is somewhat informal you might want to choose an officiate who is professional but has a fun loving attitude.
• Be clear with the officiant about the ceremony script. Do you want them to use a prepared script or do you have something specific you would like them to say for the ceremony.
